Node Hotel
The place
A slim building of concrete and glass in the heart of Kyoto, designed by architect Seiichiro Takeuchi. Inside, the grey holds: raw concrete walls, exposed ceilings, metal frames.
Node feels close to a private gallery. Works by Gerhard Richter, Eddie Martinez, and Barry McGee hang through the rooms and communal spaces, giving the industrial shell something to be quiet around.
The 25 rooms and suites carry the same mood, warmed by texture — a dark wooden bed frame, a quilted blanket, carpet underfoot. On the ground floor, a restaurant and bar covers meals and drinks.
