Orania.Berlin
The place
Orania.Berlin restored a grand Art Nouveau building from 1913 on Oranienplatz, in Kreuzberg. Inside, the palette runs earthy and red with subtle oriental touches, furnished by Antonio Citterio and Patricia Urquiola.
The 41 rooms and suites follow suit — classy designer furniture, dark wooden floors, deep red accents — with Schramm bedding to sink into, Apple TV, and a Nespresso machine within reach.
Chef Philipp Vogel leads Orania.Restaurant, an eclectic kitchen known for dishes like its Peking Duck. Beside it, the bar pours late against live jazz. A compact fitness room with machines and free weights waits for the morning.
