The place

On the northern shores of Lake Michigan, Otis Harbor Springs sits quietly on ten acres. Recently reimagined, its interiors take their cues from the building's heritage and the landscape around it. The 38 rooms and suites hold mid-century furnishings, checkered carpets, original artwork. Frette linens on the beds; Flamingo Estate products in the bath.

Days here move slowly. A fireplace lounge, a courtyard, an outdoor deck for a drink as the light fades. In the lobby, the café pours its signature coffee and sets out local pastries and light bites. There is a small shop, too, stocked with outdoor gear and goods.
