The place

In Castelrotto, South Tyrol, a contemporary building with an exoskeleton facade, shaped with Peter Pichler Architecture. The interior keeps to a minimal, Scandinavian calm.

The 42 rooms and suites are simple and exact — custom chestnut furniture by local artisans, resin floors, a Wishbone Chair by Hans Wegner, handmade Italian mattresses, Aesop in the bathroom. Each has its own balcony.

Three pools: a 14-meter indoor lane, a massage pool, an outdoor Jacuzzi. Then a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, a steam bath, an ice room, a melmarium, a sundeck, a spa. The kitchen reworks traditional alpine recipes with the finest local produce.
