Experimental Marais
The place
Nothing like the typical luxury Parisian hotel. In the 3rd arrondissement, at the heart of the trendy Marais, the entrance is clad in bronze; beyond it, the public spaces turn bold and playful — punches of red and pink, stained glass, rich wood, Turkish rugs, soft arches.
Tristan Auer designed the 43 rooms and suites: contemporary and vintage furniture side by side, light pink rugs on parquet floors, cool objects and artwork wherever you look. The Justine Suite goes the other way entirely — a dim black-out design, a moody living area, a deep red bathtub at its center.
The spa holds a plunge pool inspired by the Roman baths, a hammam, and two treatment rooms. At the heart of the hotel, Temple & Chapon — chef Mélanie Serre crossing a 1950s American chophouse with elegant Parisian cuisine.
