The place

A white corner building from the 19th century, in Salamanca. Inside TÓTEM Madrid, old-world charm and modern design share the floor — marble underfoot, dark wooden accents, more than 300 pieces of art on the walls.

The 64 rooms and suites keep a pristine white palette, refined and a little moody. Mid-century modern furniture, wooden floors, curated objects, muted color at the edges. Floor-to-ceiling windows, a black marble bathroom, Per Purr in the bath.

The fitness center, fitted with TechnoGym equipment, keeps its doors open around the clock. On the ground floor, El Pimiento Verde cooks Basque; next door, the cocktail bar mixes signature and tailor-made drinks in a lush, modern room.
