Vestige Son Vell
The place
An 18th-century Italianate mansion on 180 hectares of Menorcan farmland, opened as a hotel in July 2023. Citrus trees, olive groves, rolling fields. The grand sandstone facade has been carefully restored; inside, the mood is vintage, moody, and quiet.
The 34 oversized rooms and suites are spread between the main house and the farm bungalows. Neutral, earthy tones. Antique furniture beneath ancient wooden beams, with contemporary art and objects placed sparingly.
The building's original ancient pool has been restored and still holds water in its old stone. A newer, larger pool sits nearby with daybeds and a poolside bar. At the table, Vermell keeps to Menorcan traditions with quiet notes of Spain, Britain, and France, while Sa Clarisa serves refined plates in the open air.
