The place
In Montparnasse, a vertical garden climbs the facade — Triptyque's living wall held in a sleek black metal frame. Inside, Philippe Starck worked with nature rather than against it: light wood, exposed concrete, textured materials.
The 73 rooms and suites stay warm and unforced. Wooden floors, exposed ceilings, mirrored and marble accents, a scattering of artwork and objects. Suite Pasteur crowns the hotel, its double green terrace open to the Eiffel Tower.
There is a co-working space and a boxing and fitness club. On the ground floor, the al-fresco Villa M Restaurant & Bar serves sun-drenched dishes made to be shared. Come summer, The Rooftop opens — a verdant terrace, cocktails, the tower again.
