Hôtel Des Grands Voyageurs
The place
An unassuming corner building in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, revived in the spirit of the golden age of travel. Fabrizio Casiraghi lined the public spaces of Hôtel Des Grands Voyageurs with mahogany panels and golden accents, hanging works by Gustav Klimt and Marc Chagall along the way.
The 138 rooms and suites step back from all that. Creamy hues, vintage-inspired furnishings, deep blue carpets, touches of pale green, sculptural art by François Gilles. The essentials are quietly handled — plush bedding, Diptyque toiletries, a Nespresso machine, free wifi.
There is a compact fitness center and a sauna. And three places to eat and drink: a restaurant open for lunch and dinner, its seafood-focused menu moving between French and American influences, with Poppy and the lobby bar for everything after.
