Villa-des-Pres
The place
A sandstone building from 1911, on a quiet corner of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Villa-des-Prés, a five-star hotel in the 6th arrondissement, was reimagined by designer Bruno Borrione as a contemporary collector's house — Art Nouveau lines throughout, art curated by Amélie du Chalard.
The 34 rooms and suites keep to white, red, and brown. Bespoke furniture, wooden floors, large abstract canvases. Bathrooms in marble and mosaic; Illy coffee, Diptyque toiletries. Some suites add a bathtub and a private balcony.
Below, a 13-meter indoor pool sits in near silence, joined by a half-moon sauna, a treatment room, and a fitness room open around the clock. An intimate bar drifts from the lounge to the outdoor patio, pouring coffee by day and cocktails after dark. No restaurant on-site for now — breakfast is served daily.
