The Drechsler Palace, an 1886 neo-Renaissance landmark on Andrássy Avenue, reimagined as the W. Bowler James Brindley kept the historic bones and let the interior play — colour, curvaceous furniture, checkered patterns running through 151 rooms and suites.

Two places to eat and drink inside the hotel. At Nightingale by Beefbar, chef Jan Nawrocki draws on Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Mediterranean kitchens for a menu of his own.
