The place
Atlantic is a small hotel in Byron Bay, open since 2005 and recently refreshed from top to bottom. The new interiors are bright — creamy hues, objects made by local artisans.
The rooms follow in white and neutral: rattan furniture, local artwork, limestone underfoot. Each has its own private sunny veranda.
New too is the outdoor magnesium pool, ringed by sun beds and palm trees. Indoors and out, there are corners to settle into. Meals stay simple here — a fully equipped communal kitchen, and an al fresco deck to eat on.
