The place

Three historic buildings in the town of Hudson — a Georgian mansion, a Greek revival property, a carriage house — folded into one hotel. The interiors run dark and lavish, an old-world mood shot through with Belle Époque, Art Deco, and mid-century notes.

There are only 8 rooms and suites, each with its own character: warm jewel tones, curated antiques, rich texture and pattern. Some keep the buildings' original ornate fireplaces and stained-glass windows.

Outside, a heated pool waits among loungers and greenery; a quirky fitness center sits nearby. The Maker Restaurant cooks regional Italian from local produce, and the lavish cocktail lounge handles drinks and small plates.
