The place

In the heart of Byron Bay, a hotel given a glamorous vintage charm by local creative Nyree Mackenzie. The communal spaces settle into brown and neutral hues — crushed velvet sofas, checkered wooden floors.

The 16 rooms and suites are each their own. The palette runs warm and earthy — brown, deep green, burnt orange — with modern and vintage furnishing set side by side: a velvet headboard here, a mid-century cupboard there.

Outside, a magnesium pool crafted from pink marble. An infrared sauna and an ice bath wait nearby. The in-house cafe and bar keeps to casual dishes made from locally sourced produce.
