Wandering Buffalo

The place

Wandering Buffalo opened in late 2025 in Bozeman, Montana — an affordable, stylish basecamp for Big Sky and Yellowstone. Lovingly designed, the interiors fold Montana charm into contemporary lines. The 38 rooms and suites come in ochre tones, with Western-inspired furnishings, buffalo-patterned headboards, and modern amenities.

Some suites sleep up to six, with a king bed, two bunk beds, and a fully equipped kitchen — made for larger families and groups.

At the heart of the hotel is The Mercantile, a lobby coffee bar pouring locally roasted Rockford Roasting Co. coffee and Tumblewood Teas beside pastries from On The Rise Bread Co. A garden, outdoor provisions, and bike rentals round out a stay.
